Polite Paws Dog Training is a friendly and professional Surrey based dog training school offering a variety of training and behavioural solutions using only kind, effective, reward-based methods. Polite Paws Dog Training was set up in 2012 and is run by Angela Doyle, who has trained with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, UK (APDT, UK), is a member of the Pet Professional Guild (the Association for Force-Free training), and adheres to a strict code of practice that advocates only kind and fair methods.
Our “Polite Puppy” classes not only covers all the basic behaviours such as ‘sit’, ‘down’ recall, loose lead walking, but also discusses common puppy issues and how to deal with them, works on key life skills that will enable your puppy to more easily adapt to life in our world, as well as providing great socialisation opportunities for your puppy. Our follow on classes and adult novice dog training classes are perfect to build and progress on your training that you have started with your puppy, start training with a new rescue dog/older dog or continue training with your adolescent dog. We not only cover the basic commands, but progress the exercises to increase the difficulty and cover various other exercises that will be helpful in everyday life.
We also offer individual training sessions and behaviour consultations, which are invaluable if you have an anxious or reactive dog who is not happy or comfortable in a class environment, have specific behavioural issues you would like help with, if you want to focus on specific training problems you are having with your dog, or take part in more advanced training.
We also offer fun agility sessions and a variety of workshops and other classes, including tricks and platform training. Agility is great for building the bond between dog and owner, and help improve general obedience and control when the dog is off lead, while having a lot of fun!
